Coenzyme Q₁₀ can be supplemented with specific foods, but the amount of Coenzyme Q₁₀ supplemented through food will be smaller and the effects will be slower.
Coenzyme Q₁₀ is generally found in higher amounts in deep-sea fish, animal hearts, and animal livers.
For example, sardines contain 33.6mg of Coenzyme Q₁₀ per 1kg of sardines, 26.8mg per 1kg of okonomiyaki, 25.6mg per 1kg of pig’s heart, and 25.1mg per 1kg of pig’s liver.
In other foods, the content of Coenzyme Q₁₀ is relatively low, e.g. 7.3mg of Coenzyme Q10 per 1kg of soybeans, 3.2mg per 1kg of bok choy, and 2.4mg per 1kg of kiwifruit.
Healthy people can supplement Coenzyme Q₁₀ through the above foods. If you have a disease that requires supplementation of Coenzyme Q₁₀, it is recommended to use medication to supplement it scientifically under the guidance of a doctor.
