Shockwave therapy introduction method

Since the introduction of the Swiss STORZ MP100 extracorporeal shock wave pain treatment system in our department last year, we have achieved good results in the treatment of patients with heel pain, frozen shoulder, low back pain, neck and shoulder pain, tendonitis, etc.
  I. Characteristics of shock wave therapy
The biggest advantage of shock wave therapy is that it is non-invasive and can save the patient from the pain of injections or even surgery. The therapy has been used in Europe for nearly 20 years and is a mature and effective technique. The efficacy of the treatment is precise, the cure rate of the adapted disease can reach more than 80%, does not hurt the normal tissue, only for the effect of the disease.
Second, the principle of shock wave
Shock wave is a mechanical pulse pressure wave conducted through the physics of mechanical media (air and water), can give multiple Chen wave surface in a short period of time. Extracorporeal shock wave pain treatment system is to convert the pneumatic generated pulse wave into precise ballistic shock wave, through the positioning and movement of the treatment probe, it can produce good therapeutic effect on a wider range of human tissues where pain occurs. It is mainly used in the medical as well as sports rehabilitation fields.
  Indications for Shockwave Therapy
  1.Calcified tendonitis of the shoulder
  2.External epicondylitis of the humerus
  3.Knee ligament disorders
  4.Achilles tendon pain
  5.Foot plantar fasciitis
  6.Patellar tendinopathy
  7.Tibial outer edge syndrome
  8.Bursitis of the greater trochanter
  9.Other tendon injuries
  Four, shock wave treatment precautions
Generally, the interval between two treatments is 5-7 days, and 3-5 times is a course of treatment. Femoral head necrosis, etc. 3-10 times for a course of treatment.
During the treatment, patients may feel soreness and pain, please communicate with the treating doctor for shock energy adjustment.
Some patients may experience redness of the skin at the treatment area after the treatment, which usually subsides within half an hour.
After treatment, please drink plenty of water on the same day to promote circulation and discharge inflammatory substances.
At the end of a course of treatment, minimize the movement or local injury force at the early stage, during which rest is required for 1-2 weeks to allow the treatment area to fully heal.
