The Summit Forum on Knee G-Condylar Replacement Technology organized by the Department of Orthopaedic Diseases of Jinan Military General Hospital was successfully concluded recently. Prof. Murry and Prof. Dodd from the University of Oxford have thousands of g-condylar replacement surgeries. During the conference, the two experts taught nearly 300 bone and joint surgeons from all over the country the indications, contraindications, surgical techniques and post-operative rehabilitation of g-condylar replacement, and also demonstrated the surgery. Knee g-condylar replacement is suitable for patients with osteoarthritis of the medial compartment of the knee joint. The surgery only replaces one-third of the joint surface of the knee joint, which is a minimally invasive surgery with fast recovery and good effect. At present, more than 146 g-condylar knee replacements have been performed in the Department of Orthopaedics of Jinan Military General Hospital, ranking the leading level in China.
