How soon can you turn over with a fractured pelvis?

For a patient with a pelvic fracture, it generally takes about a month to turn and move around if you want to. It takes 72 hours for the fracture end to heal, two weeks for the fracture end to form a fibrous joint, and two weeks for the fracture end to grow a primary bone scab before the fracture end is relatively stable and can be turned. If the fracture is turned too early, the fracture end will easily be squeezed and rubbed, which will lead to increased bleeding and delayed growth of the bone scab, which will be detrimental to the healing of the fracture and will easily lead to delayed healing or even non-healing of the fracture. Turning over during fracture instability may also lead to increased pain and swelling.
