Effectiveness and main treatment of aspirin

Aspirin is an antipyretic and analgesic drug, a salicylic acid derivative, which can be used to relieve mild or moderate pain, such as toothache headache, neuralgia, and muscle aches. It can be used clinically to reduce fever in febrile diseases such as cold and flu, and also to treat rheumatic pain. In addition aspirin has an inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation and can be used for cerebral ischemic attacks, heart valves and venous leaks, or other surgical thrombosis. It can also be used to prevent cerebrovascular diseases, such as stroke, transient cerebral ischemia, and can prevent cardiovascular events in high-risk patients, like angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. It can also be used as an adjuvant for peripheral arterial thrombosis to prevent increased clotting and postoperative complications. Patients should avoid alcohol while taking the drug, otherwise there is a risk of gastric bleeding.
