At the end of last year, I had the privilege of visiting San Francisco for 3 months. In addition to learning professional knowledge, I saw the good obstetrics doctor-patient relationship there. Many pregnant women eventually become lifelong patients of this obstetrician, i.e., they go to their obstetrician for health checkups every year. This is very different from our domestic doctor-patient model, which generally separates outpatient, delivery and postpartum, i.e. the outpatient physician only manages the antenatal period, and the pregnant woman knows nothing about the physician who manages the labor and delivery or cesarean section during delivery, which is not conducive to communication between the pregnant woman and the physician, and to some extent increases the potential for doctor-patient disputes. Without 9 months of trust between doctors and patients, it is difficult to establish a trusting relationship in just 10 hours of labor. This is my ideal obstetrics doctor-patient model. This is my ideal obstetrics patient model. The long road has just begun, and there is a long way to go!
