Is the mole flat or raised

Moles, also called pigmented nevi, or nevocytic nevi, are benign swellings on the skin that can occur in various parts of the body. Its occurrence is often related to genetics and long-term exposure to ultraviolet light. Clinically, nevus nests can be either flat or raised, depending on the depth of the nevus cells in the skin. If these moles grow in the palmoplantar area, waist, armpit, groin and other friction areas, especially protruding from the skin, they must be surgically removed because repeated frictional stimulation may lead to the transformation of the mole to the bad side. It is recommended that treatment be performed under the guidance of a professional physician when such a condition exists.
