There are 6 types of cervical spondylosis, with varying symptoms including neck stiffness, numbness and dizziness. 1. Cervical type, which is characterized by stiffness and pain in the neck, with a predominantly oblique posture, which may be accompanied by dizziness. 2. Nerve root type, with paroxysmal pain and numbness, heaviness of the upper limbs, and muscle atrophy in the late stage. 3. Vertebral artery type, vertigo, accompanied by nausea and vomiting, hearing loss, or even transient paralysis or episodic coma. 4. Sympathetic type, which may cause dizziness, eye swelling, tinnitus, nasal congestion, nausea and vomiting, arrhythmia and other organ and tissue symptoms. 5. Spinal cord cervical spondylosis, with numbness and pain in one or both limbs and abnormal sensation in the trunk. 6. Esophageal compression-type cervical spondylosis, which may be characterized by dysphagia during eating and burning sensation behind the sternum after eating.
