The spleen meridian is the foot-taiyin spleen meridian, which runs through the inner side of the calf. Symptoms of spleen meridian blockage in the calf include swelling of the calf and coldness. The Foot Taiyin Spleen Meridian starts at the end of the big toe of the foot, runs along the inner side of the big toe where the red and white flesh intersects (the junction between the palm and the back of the hand, and the heart of the foot and the back of the foot), passes through the nucleus pulposus, travels upward to the front of the ankle, goes up to the inside of the lower leg, runs along the back of the shin bone, before it exits the Foot Syncopal Hepatocellular Meridian, travels up to the inner side of the knee and femur (the inner side of the thigh) at its anterior edge, enters the abdomen, belongs to the Spleen and the Stomach, and goes up to pass over the diaphragm, and is spread under the tongue. Incompatibility of the foot-taiyin spleen meridian may result in inability to move the body, inability to eat food, heart and chest distress, severe pain under the heart, loose stools, dysentery, inability to pass urine, jaundice, inability to sleep peacefully, barely able to stand, swelling and coldness of the inner thighs and knees, and inability to maneuver the big toes of the feet. In severe cases of spleen meridian blockage in the lower leg, the above discomfort may occur. If you have any of the above discomforts, it is recommended to consult a doctor promptly.
