If frequent vomiting occurs in late stage of lung cancer, the following issues need to be paid attention to: first of all, whether lung cancer is accompanied by brain metastasis or not, and after brain metastasis, cerebral edema band occurs leading to increased intracranial pressure and projectile vomiting. In this case, it is necessary to give head radiotherapy as well as dehydration treatment to control the edema band as soon as possible in order to reduce the symptoms of clinical vomiting. Secondly, if chemotherapeutic drugs are used in the treatment of advanced lung cancer, chemotherapeutic drugs generally have the effect of vomiting which leads to gastrointestinal reaction, especially frequent nausea and vomiting, so central antiemetic drugs can be given to alleviate the symptoms of the patients and complete the course of chemotherapy. Finally, the long-term inability to eat in advanced stage of lung cancer leads to water and electrolyte disorder, especially hypokalemia, which is prone to frequent vomiting. Intravenous potassium supplementation should be given to treat the disease, and if the blood potassium is effectively corrected, the patient’s vomiting symptom will also disappear slowly. If potassium is effectively corrected, the patient’s vomiting symptoms will also disappear slowly. In conclusion, vomiting in late stage of lung cancer needs careful analysis and targeted treatment.
