What if you haven’t taken your medication for three years?

Patients who have not been treated for HIV for three years need to see a doctor immediately to improve the CD4 lymphocyte count, viral load and other tests, and under the guidance of the doctor for antiviral drug therapy, common drugs include nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors, protease inhibitors, integrase inhibitors and so on. 1. Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors can selectively inhibit HIV reverse transcriptase and inhibit the replication of HIV virus. Commonly, there are lamivudine and emtricitabine. 2. Non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors mainly act on the site of HIV reverse transcriptase to make the enzyme lose its normal activity, so as to inhibit the reverse transcription of the virus, commonly used nevirapine, rilpivirine and so on. 3. Protease inhibitors can slow down the progression of the disease by inhibiting the protease enzyme and thus blocking the synthesis of proteins required in the process of HIV replication and maturation, commonly used are ritonavir, lopinavir and so on. If there is a combination of opportunistic infections, targeted treatment is needed. If diagnosed with AIDS, should seek medical treatment without delay, under the guidance of the doctor for examination, treatment, not unauthorized use of drugs, delayed condition.
