The recovery time of conservative treatment for external ankle fracture needs to be decided according to the degree of ankle injury, and most of them can be recovered in 3 to 4 months. If the fracture is minor, without obvious displacement, the main conservative treatment is cast fixation for 1 month, when the fracture line is blurred, the cast can be removed for functional exercise, and the full recovery usually takes 3 months. If it is a comminuted fracture or fracture displacement, need to take the manipulation of the reduction cast fixation, the recovery time to be longer, at least 3 months to keep, if the elderly or combined with osteoporosis recovery to be about 4 months.
