Uterine cysts are generally referred to as cervical cysts. Uterine fibroids and cervical cysts are two different benign diseases of the uterine area and there is no such thing as that one being more serious.
Fibroids are usually tumors of the smooth muscle tissue of the uterus, which are usually benign and rarely become malignant. Smaller fibroid tumors of the uterus, such as subplasma or interstitial fibroid tumors, are usually asymptomatic and do not affect menstruation, and can be closely monitored.
Larger uterine fibroids or submucosal fibroids usually lead to changes in menstruation and abnormal uterine bleeding, and require active treatment.
Cervical cyst is a benign physiologic change caused by retention of secretions due to blockage of the opening of the cervical gland ducts. If there are no uncomfortable symptoms and no combination of cervical inflammation or cervical lesions, it can be closely observed without special treatment. If the cysts are too large or combined with cervical diseases, active treatment is needed.
Therefore, uterine fibroids and cervical cysts are two different diseases and are generally benign, there is no such thing as which disease is more serious. If the above diseases lead to increased vaginal discharge, abdominal pain, abnormal menstrual flow, etc., the patient needs to consult a doctor in time to avoid delayed treatment.
