Can a patient with scoliosis get pregnant and have children? How to achieve early detection and treatment

This can be answered very clearly that a patient with scoliosis can get pregnant and have a child. For a patient with mild to moderate scoliosis, it does not affect her ability to conceive and have a child. For some patients who need surgery, they can actually get pregnant and have a baby after the surgery. I have had many patients who had surgery at the age of 13 or 14 and now, more than a decade later, some have become pregnant and had children, and the children they have had have been very smart and beautiful. When the child is in the fetal stage, abnormalities in the vertebrae can be detected by ultrasound or fetal MRI. After the child is born (infancy), we should always pay attention to the morphology of the child’s spine, such as observing whether the back is equally flat, whether the two shoulders are equally high, and whether the head is tilted to one side. By using these signs, we can initially determine whether the child has scoliosis, and if the child has these signs, he or she needs to come to the hospital for an X-ray to get a further diagnosis.
