What are the criteria for stage 2 colon cancer

The criterion of stage II colon cancer is the condition that the primary lesion has penetrated the intrinsic muscular layer and the lesion has no regional lymph node metastasis as well as distant metastasis.

The staging of colon cancer is firstly based on TNM staging, and clinical stage II refers to T3~4N0M0; the corresponding staging of T3~4 means that the primary lesion has already penetrated the intrinsic muscular layer, and the most serious invasion has already been infringed on the surrounding tissues; N0 means that the lesion does not have regional lymph node metastasis; M0 means that the lesion does not have distant metastasis; and the whole belongs to stage II, which is classified into Ⅱa to Ⅱc in accordance with the depth of invasion.

According to the corresponding clinical staging, try to choose radical resection through surgery, after surgical resection, need to be assisted by radiotherapy for control, the specific circumstances need to be regulated under the guidance of clinicians.
