What to do if you have a prolapsed hemorrhoid

When hemorrhoids appear to prolapse out of the anus, first of all, do not be nervous, you should perform anal massage to promote relaxation of the anal sphincter, and then use manipulation to try to return the prolapsed masses to the anus. Pay attention to your diet, avoid spicy and stimulating foods, and you can eat more honey and fruits to promote the smooth discharge of stool, reduce the stagnation and swelling of hemorrhoid veins, and reduce the downward movement of the anal cushion. You can also take a sitz bath with warm salt water or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution to promote blood circulation around the anus, which can reduce the stagnation and swelling of hemorrhoid veins. If the hemorrhoid is prolapsed out of the anus for a longer period of time, the hemorrhoid veins are more heavily stagnated, which can lead to local edema as well as oozing. If the hemorrhoid vein is stagnant for a longer period of time, a thrombus can easily form and the clinical manifestation is more painful. In this case, surgical treatment, such as thrombus stripping, external and internal ligation of mixed hemorrhoids, should be performed in a timely manner.
