Prilosec Gastric Instructions

Prilosec, or omeprazole, is a proton pump inhibitor commonly used in clinical practice to inhibit the secretion of gastric acid by acting on hydrogen and potassium ions and ATPase in the cells of the gastric lining and causing irreversible binding, and is commonly used in the treatment of digestive system diseases such as atrophic gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and reflux esophagitis. In addition, omeprazole also has some therapeutic effect on H. pylori. However, the drug is rarely used alone in clinical practice, and is mostly used in combination with antibiotics and bismuth agents for simultaneous treatment. The drug is an enteric capsule, mostly taken with warm water, not split or chewed, and the dosage varies for different stomach diseases, and should be adjusted according to the condition.
