During the conservative treatment of ectopic pregnancy, blood HCG level measurement and ultrasound are needed to detect the size of the ectopic pregnancy mass closely:
1. If the blood HCG level continues to drop significantly during the process of killing embryos by conservative treatment, even if the ectopic pregnancy mass does not shrink significantly within a short period of time by ultrasound, conservative treatment can be continued.
2. If during the process of killing embryos by conservative treatment, the blood HCG level does not decrease obviously or has rebound elevation, and the ectopic pregnancy mass gradually increases in ultrasound monitoring, it may be necessary to change to surgical treatment.
