Etiology of cervical cancer

Cervical cancer is the number one killer of women, but happily the cause of its development is clear, mainly due to persistent high-risk HPV infectivity. It is an infectious disease. HPV is the only fully identifiable oncogenic virus in human carcinogenesis. Preventing HPV infection will prevent cervical cancer, and not having HPV infection will keep you from getting cervical cancer. Keeping a sole sexual partner minimizes HPV infection.
