What are the characteristics of flatulence

Flatulence generally means that the patient feels that there is a large amount of gas in the abdominal cavity, characterized by abdominal distension, hiccups, constipation and so on. 1. Abdominal distension: Flatulence will mainly manifest as abdominal distension and increased intra-abdominal pressure. With further increase of gas, the gas enters into the stomach and esophagus, and nausea and vomiting will occur. 2. Hiccups: Patients with flatulence may be prone to hiccups in the early morning or after eating. 3. Exhaustion: Flatulence may also be characterized by a constant gurgling of the stomach and excessive and loud anal exhaust.
