What happened to the weakly positive leukocyte lipase?

A weak positive for leukocyte lipase indicates the presence of leukocytes, or neutrophils, in the specimen tested, indicating the presence of inflammation and the possibility of vaginitis. The main types of vaginitis are bacterial vaginitis, fungal vaginitis, trichomoniasis, and vaginitis caused by other pathogens. The main clinical manifestations are increased vaginal discharge, abnormal color, odor, with or without lower abdominal discomfort. Treatment is mainly with suppositories or oral medication. The partner of trichomoniasis should be treated at the same time to prevent recurrence of the disease and to maintain local hygiene.
