The difference between burst fracture of medial orbital wall and simple fracture of medial orbital wall is mainly reflected in the degree of fracture, clinical manifestations and treatment methods. Generally, simple fracture of medial orbital wall does not have ocular depression, while burst fracture of medial orbital wall can often have ocular depression. 1. Degree of fracture: simple medial orbital wall fracture is generally less severe and seldom displaced, while burst fracture is more severe and can have displaced fracture, comminuted fracture and so on. 2. Clinical manifestations: the clinical manifestations of simple intraorbital wall fracture are mild, and there may be edema of periorbital tissues and other manifestations, but there is no obvious obstacle to eye movement, no obvious decrease in visual acuity, and no concavity of the eyeball. On the other hand, burst fracture may show obvious diplopia, eyeball depression, and inability of eyeball abduction. 3. Treatment: single orbital wall fracture is usually treated conservatively, such as using glucocorticoid to reduce edema and inflammatory reaction, while burst fracture usually needs to be treated by surgery. It is recommended that patients with orbital fracture should consult the doctor in time to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions.
