The activities of TB patients should be considered according to their specific conditions, because the course of TB disease is long and complicated, and there are different requirements for rest and activities at different stages, so they cannot be uniform. The general principle is: activities should be limited to not cause fatigue. Once you feel fatigue, you should immediately rest or reduce the amount of activity. When symptoms such as fever, cough, coughing sputum and hemoptysis appear, suspend activities and rest in bed. Appropriate activities can promote early recovery from the disease. Improper activity can have many negative consequences. Patients with active tuberculosis must be absolutely bedridden, and when the patient is well rested, the lungs can also be well rested. It is also not advisable to read too many books and newspapers during bed rest to reduce brain power consumption. After the symptoms are reduced by treatment, you can get up and move around appropriately. When the symptoms disappear and the condition improves significantly, you can gradually increase the amount of activity, step by step, starting from indoor activities, walking, and then you can practice tai chi, short distance walking. Do not be too hasty. Ensure 8-10 hours of sleep and 1-2 hours of lunch break daily. Outdoor activities should pay attention to weather changes, environmental changes and your health condition. Keep warm in winter, wear a mask when you go out, and avoid going out when you encounter high winds or wet weather. Open windows indoors and do activities that you can do, such as making your bed and indoor hygiene, which often have good effects on your body. For patients with mild tuberculosis, do not go to crowded places with heavy traffic such as fairs, shopping malls and highways, as this will stimulate the respiratory tract by inhaling a lot of dust and exhaust gas, weakening the respiratory defense and aggravating the symptoms or causing respiratory complications. You can get up in the morning and go for a walk in the park or by the river. Avoid more strenuous activities such as basketball, tug of war, soccer, running and other sports.
