How to correct scoliosis

Scoliosis correction methods include functional exercises, brace correction, and surgical treatment. Treatment needs to be based on the cause of the disease.
The causes of scoliosis include congenital, postural and lumbar disc herniation.
1. Congenital scoliosis: this condition is related to the poor development of bones during the fetal period, and the appropriate treatment should be chosen according to the severity, if it is only mild, it can be corrected by exercising the muscles, if it is younger and the angle of the scoliosis is between 20 degrees and 40 degrees, it can be corrected by using braces, and if the angle of the scoliosis is larger, or if there is a dysfunction, surgical treatment is needed.
2. Postural scoliosis: Long-term abnormal sitting and standing posture can also cause scoliosis, which is common in adolescent patients, should maintain correct standing and sitting posture, and if necessary, can be corrected by using a brace.
3. Scoliosis caused by lumbar disc herniation: if there is a lumbar disc herniation, the position of the vertebral body changes can also cause scoliosis, if it is a mild scoliosis, you can enhance the strength of the muscles in the lower back through exercise; the symptoms of the more serious need for surgical treatment, including nucleus pulposus removal and laminectomy, and so on.
Scoliosis may also have other causes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, improve the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or standardized treatment.
