Funnel chest is a congenital and often familial disorder. It is more common in males than females, with a reported male to female ratio of 4:1, and has a familial tendency or is associated with congenital heart disease. Funnel chest is a common chest wall deformity in children, which is a depression of the anterior chest wall centered on the sternocleidomastoid, including the sunken lower sternum, with the rib cartilage on both sides bending backward, making the entire depression shaped like a funnel. Less severe cases do not require surgery, while more severe or symptomatic funnel chests require surgery. Traditional surgery, such as sternal reversal, is characterized by large trauma and unsatisfactory results. Our department is the first in China to carry out Nuss surgery, the most advanced minimally invasive “funnel chest” correction technology in the world, and has carried out hundreds of cases. It has the following features: 1. Small wound, less bleeding. 2. Complete preservation of muscle and cartilage. 3.Short hospitalization time. 4.Satisfactory results. 5.Cost: The price of the plate is about 20000, and the total cost of the whole hospitalization is about 35000 yuan.
