How is thrush treated?

Thrush, also known as snowy mouth disease, because it looks like a layer of white snow has been laid on the mucous membrane of a doll’s mouth and tongue. It is a disease caused by a fungal infection called Candida oralis. In layman’s terms, it means that mold grows in the mouth. It is most often seen in the mouth of newborns and infants who do not pay attention to hygiene, poor nutrition, diarrhea, and long-term use of antibiotics and hormones. The symptoms of this disease are mild, usually does not affect the milk, there is no fever, mental feeding decline and other systemic reactions, but if left unattended, spread to the throat, esophagus, trachea, lungs is life-threatening. Treatment: First, clean the mouth with 2% sodium bicarbonate solution, and then apply a mixture of cod liver oil and cod liver oil (diluted to 100,000 U-200,000 U per ml, i.e., 5 ml of water per capsule of cod liver oil) to eliminate it. In fact, the prevention of thrush is more important than the treatment. If you do not pay attention to prevention, you will get it again even after treatment. Prevention: Clean your nipples with warm water before breastfeeding, sterilize bottles and teats daily if you use them, and strengthen your nutrition by taking vitamin C, vitamin B2 and probiotics. If you have thrush for a long time and repeatedly for no apparent reason, you need to rule out that the doll has an immunodeficiency disease.
