What acne looks like in children

Acne in children includes common acne, inflammatory papules, pustules, and aggregated acne manifestations such as severe nodules and cysts. Acne lesions commonly consist of early conical papules consistent with hair follicles, such as open and closed pimples. Inflammatory papules and pustules may form as the lesions worsen. With the progress of the disease, it can develop into red nodules and cysts of different sizes, which often have a fluctuating sensation when squeezed, and even form abscesses in severe cases. In severe cases, abscesses may even form. Fistulas may be formed after the abscesses have broken down. Some patients with acne vulgaris may have severe nodules, cysts, fistulas and scarring. When the inflammation of acne lesions is obvious, it may be accompanied by obvious pain. Daily attention should be paid to the protection of the lesion area. Prompt medical treatment is recommended.
