Normal lymph nodes are oval or broad bean shaped with clear borders, may be a little tough if felt, and have no pain and very good mobility when pressed. Generally speaking, normal lymph nodes can be felt behind the ear or in the groin area, while lymph nodes in other areas are usually not palpable. If lymph nodes can be felt on the surface of the body and appear to be enlarged and painful, diseased lymph nodes are usually considered. When the lymph nodes are infected, they can show lymph node inflammation with pain when pressed, and the lymph nodes can also be swollen, requiring oral antibiotics for treatment, such as cefixime. If the lymph nodes are enlarged, the shape of the lymph nodes becomes round, the texture is very hard when pressed, and there is no pain, it may be caused by tumor metastasis, and further search for the primary lesion of the tumor is needed.
