Anesthesia for kidney transplantation

There are several common types of anesthesia for kidney transplantation: the first one is general anesthesia alone; the second one is compound anesthesia, which is general anesthesia combined with intravertebral anesthesia. Kidney transplant patients have renal failure, and anesthesiologists will choose drugs that do not metabolize through the liver and kidneys to reduce the burden on the liver and kidneys. Therefore, most hospitals will choose compound anesthesia during kidney transplant anesthesia at present. Intravenous general anesthesia is responsible for painless, comfortable and muscular relaxation state of patients during surgery, and intravertebral anesthesia can be used as postoperative analgesia.
