Azilsartan’s effects

Azilsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, which is mainly used for the treatment of hypertension in clinical practice, but also has the effect of preventing left ventricular remodeling and delaying renal impairment, and is a secondary prevention drug for patients with angina pectoris and heart failure. In other patients, if the current creatinine level does not exceed 3 mg/dL and proteinuria is present, sartans are relatively preferred for the treatment of hypertension, which can reduce the production of proteinuria. In other patients, such as those with diabetes mellitus with hypertension, especially type 2 diabetes mellitus with hypertension, this type of drug is also the preferred drug.
