ACEI and ARB drugs are similar, but relatively speaking, ACEI drugs are more likely to cause intractable dry cough than ARB drugs, and the representative drugs of ACEI are fosinopril, benazepril, perindopril, etc. The representative drugs of ARB are irbesartan, telmisartan, valsartan, etc. The adverse effects of the two drugs are basically the same. ACEI drugs are more effective than ARB drugs in reversing left ventricular remodeling, and some patients who cannot take them can be treated with ARB drugs instead.
