A fracture of the medial wall of the eye must be judged according to the severity of the fracture and whether there is damage to the eye and the degree of damage to the eye and its usual grade. If it is a simple fracture of the medial wall of the orbit that does not affect the eye, usually there are no obvious sequelae after the fracture heals and it can only be rated to about grade 12. If the fracture of the medial wall of the eye causes damage to the eye and is a severe contusion with complete loss of vision, a unilateral eye injury can usually be graded as Grade 3, but if there is a complete loss or severe loss of vision bilaterally, thus affecting the usual vision, it can be graded as the highest Grade 1.
