Prostate cancer, like other malignant tumors, should be detected and treated as early as possible in order to improve survival and quality of life. The treatment of prostate cancer should be considered according to the patient’s age, general condition, clinical stage and pathological classification. At present, the main treatments are: surgery: radical prostate cancer surgery, pelvic lymph node dissection, transurethral resection of prostate. Endocrine therapy: estrogenic drugs, anti-androgenic drugs, luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone analogues, anti-adrenal drugs. Chemotherapy: commonly used chemotherapy drugs such as cyclophosphamide and 5-fluorouracil. Radiation therapy: external radiation therapy, internal radiation therapy, systemic radiation therapy. Non-traditional alternative therapies: acupuncture, biofeedback, chiropractic, energy healing, herbs, homeopathy, hypnosis, imagery, massage, relaxation techniques, and vitamins and minerals. Dietary therapies: These “healthy” foods include soy products (tofu and soy milk), tomatoes, green tea, red grapes, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, peas, watermelon, rosemary, garlic, and citrus fruits.
