For myopia patients, a complete cure for myopia and regaining clear vision is a major ideal. However, to date, no myopia treatment in the world has been able to completely cure true myopia. Experts at Bucknell University suggest that the reason why existing myopia treatments have not yet been able to completely relieve patients of their troubles is that several key issues have not been resolved. However, this in no way means that people will never be able to beat true myopia. 1. The eye becomes longer. As the eye becomes longer, the eye axis also lengthens. Studies have shown that for every 1mm of elongation of the eye axis, the myopia will increase by 300 degrees. Now, people have found ways to temporarily shorten the elongated eye axis. However, its reversibility means that it is still impossible to completely cure true myopia with this myopia treatment. 2. Fundus lesions. This phenomenon is not evident in patients with low to moderate myopia. This is not the case for patients with high myopia. Due to excessive elongation of the eye axis, degenerative changes can easily occur in the fundus of the eye. This is one of the causes of several complications. In view of this, American experts warn patients not to blindly believe in false propaganda such as “complete cure for true myopia”. In fact, no such myopia treatment has been researched yet. At the same time, although the existing myopia treatment methods are not yet able to completely cure true myopia, patients do not have to give up on themselves because of this. This is especially true for children and adolescents with myopia. Their eyes are extremely malleable because their vision is not yet fully developed. This means that if myopia is detected early in adolescence and childhood and scientific intervention is carried out, it will be easier to achieve the desired treatment results than in adults.
