Pancreatic injury usually requires surgical treatment with the aim of repairing the pancreas. Often a drainage tube is placed to drain the pancreatic fluid secreted by the pancreas out of the body. The main function of pancreatic fluid is to digest substances such as proteins and fatty tissues. Drainage tubes are usually placed for 1-3 months, and the length of time for drainage is determined by the patient’s drainage status. Proper placement of the drainage tube is necessary to prevent the pancreatic fluid from digesting tissues, cells and proteins, so that the patient can successfully pass through the perioperative period of surgery.
