Neuralgia requires differentiation of the types of neuropathic pain, which are generally broadly classified as follows: 1. Central neuralgia, such as after stroke ischemia or infarction, unilateral localized parts of the body may have severe pain, and the pain is often unfathomable. 2. Peripheral neuralgia, which is a problem with a certain local nervous system of the body, resulting in changes in nerve perception and function, and abnormal pain. Sensations, such as numbness, belong to the category of pain. The most common manifestation of neuralgia in the periphery is the following three cases: 1. spontaneous pain, which is manifested as paroxysmal severe pain; 2. the patient’s original sensation of normal skin can be distinguished, but the site of neuropathic pain is often indistinguishable from the sensation, such as touching the onset site, the sensation of touch will be transmitted to the brain as painful stimulation sensation, which is a sensory abnormality; 3. usually for the minor pain felt by a small bump pain, the body will make processing, but neuropathic pain site, a little small bump may hurt unbearable, the feeling of pain becomes particularly sensitive, its called pain hypersensitivity. The above three conditions can often be judged as neuropathic pain.
