What’s wrong with babies with their necks tilted back?

The infant’s neck is tilted back, it may be a physiological phenomenon, but we can’t rule out that it is caused by pathological factors.
1. Physiological phenomenon: because the baby’s body is not yet fully developed, the muscles of the neck are relatively soft, while the weight of the head is relatively heavy, the neck can not support the weight of the head, so there will be a neck tilted back.
2. Pathological factors: for some babies, the situation of having a hard neck and tilting backward all the time cannot be ruled out as a result of pathological cerebral palsy. For children with cerebral palsy, it may be due to the high tension of the extensor muscles, so it is easy to cause the baby’s head to tilt backward when holding the baby vertically, and this kind of children will be accompanied by the backwardness of the development of large movements.
There may also be other reasons for the infant’s neck to be tilted backward. It is recommended to go to the hospital in time, complete the examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then give targeted treatment or therapy under the guidance of the doctor.
