Wormy teeth are also called tooth decay or dental caries. Worm teeth are the most common of oral diseases. It is common for worm teeth to cause tooth pain, and worm teeth can usually be seen in the mouth as obvious cavities i.e. obvious defects and blackening on the crown or adjacent surfaces of the teeth. The nature of pain in different stages of worm teeth is different, so the treatment method is also different. 1.In the case of superficial caries, there is no obvious pain, only the black cavity on the tooth surface or between the teeth. In this case, it can be filled directly. 2.Medium caries is caused by the transient sensitivity to hot, cold, sour and sweet stimulating food. In deep caries, the pain of hot, cold, sour and sweet irritation, but the pain disappears immediately after removing the irritation, in this case, it may need to be filled after bedding or direct filling. In the stage of pulpitis and apical inflammation: 1. In acute pulpitis, there will be hot, cold, sour and sweet irritation pain, spontaneous and paroxysmal, and the pain will be aggravated at night, sometimes it is not clear which tooth is in pain. In acute pulpitis, the pulp is irreversible and requires root canal treatment. 2. Acute apical inflammation usually has spontaneous and persistent pain with a floating sensation in the affected tooth. Later on there is apical or facial swelling. In this case, root canal treatment is also needed. If the tooth is decayed, it must be treated in time. Otherwise, on the one hand, the pain will increase, and on the other hand, the cavity will increase in extent and gradually spread to the pulp.
