Bleeding after sexual intercourse in women, i.e., contact bleeding, is considered chronic cervicitis. There are five pathological types of chronic cervicitis: one, cervical erosion; two, cervical polyps; three, cervical hypertrophy; four, cervical glandular cysts; and five, chronic cervical ductitis. Among them, cervical erosion, cervical polyp and chronic cervical ductitis are likely to cause contact bleeding after intercourse. There are also malignant changes above the cervix that cause contact bleeding, such as cervical cancer. Therefore, if women have contact bleeding after sex, they need to go to the hospital as soon as possible to improve relevant examinations, such as routine gynecological examinations, laboratory tests of secretions, colposcopy, cervical TCT, cervical HPV and other cancer screening, so as to clarify the diagnosis and deal with the symptoms according to the examination results.
