Notepad: What is the definition of IVF-ET success?

Since the birth of the world’s first IVF in 1978, the success or failure of IVF-ET has been judged by the clinical pregnancy rate. And the clinical pregnancy rate is defined as a blood or urine HCG higher than normal and a gestational sac seen on ultrasound, it includes miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. But I think the above definition is not broad enough. Today I did the ultrasound of three pregnant IVF patients on the same day during the National Day: early intrauterine pregnancy, fetal heart was seen, more than 60 days pregnant, they were very excited and thanked me a lot, I said to them, “Don’t worry about keeping the baby, I want your baby birth rate.” I was recently reviewing a manuscript for a medical journal, and there was a quote in it: The global definition of success in assisted reproductive technology includes: 1. the highest rate of full-term singleton live births, 2. the shortest time from initiation of treatment to success, and 3. the least cost, discomfort, and complications. I refer all IVF-ET patients to this quote and make it my clinical goal.
