Most patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia present with fever, cough, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and some may have diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. Fever is a relatively common clinical manifestation of novel coronavirus pneumonia. The fever can be high, reaching 39°C or even higher, but some patients do not have a fever. It has been found that there is a subset of people with novel coronavirus pneumonia who do not have an apparent fever. This group of patients with insignificant fever does not necessarily mean that the disease is mild, and some patients with insignificant fever may also progress to become seriously ill. Therefore, one should not judge whether one is infected with novel coronavirus pneumonia or common cold by the degree of fever, but should make a comprehensive judgment in conjunction with the exposure and whether one has lived or stayed in the infected area. If there is any discomfort and exposure, report it and go to the hospital promptly. Source: Dr. Yurai
