Generally, there is no such thing as “severe deficiency of qi and blood”, which is referred to as evidence of deficiency of qi and blood in traditional Chinese medicine. Serious deficiency of qi and blood can be taken as appropriate, such as eight precious pills, ten full complementary pills, specific efficacy varies from person to person, there is no fast one. Chinese medicine theory says that “qi is the commander of blood (qi commands the operation of blood), blood is the mother of qi”, which means that qi can produce blood, blood can also be angry, qi insufficiency will lead to blood insufficiency, blood insufficiency will also lead to qi insufficiency. Clinical signs of deficiency of qi and blood commonly include shortness of breath and fatigue (lack of spirit), yellow face and limbs, sweating, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia and forgetfulness, tinnitus, and other symptoms. The treatment mostly takes the method of qi and blood double tonic (qi and blood together). Ba Zhen Wan has the effect of tonifying qi and benefiting blood, and is good at treating yellowish complexion (yellowish color without luster), shortness of breath and lack of energy, and loss of appetite. Shiquan Dachan Pill has the effect of warming qi and blood, and is good at treating pale face, dizziness, palpitation, shortness of breath and sweating, fatigue and tiredness, and lack of warmth in the limbs. The adverse reactions and contraindications of the above two drugs are not clear. It is recommended to consult a professional physician or pharmacist for specific medication.
