Can I get a cornea replacement if I am 1500 degrees nearsighted?

A myopic patient with 1,500 degrees of myopia is not able to get rid of the myopia by corneal exchange, i.e., corneal transplantation; however, 1,500 degrees of myopia does not affect the treatment of corneal transplantation in the presence of corneal leukoplakia, corneal ulcer and other disorders. Corneal replacement, also known as corneal transplantation, is a common treatment for corneal leukoplakia, corneal ulcers and other diseases. By surgically removing the patient’s opaque corneal tissue and transplanting a clear donor cornea, the transparency of the refractive interstitium can be restored, thus improving vision. Corneal transplants do not change the amount of myopia a patient has, so patients with 1500 degrees of ultra-high myopia cannot have a corneal transplant to eliminate their myopia. When a patient has an eye condition that requires corneal transplantation, the patient can undergo the procedure normally and the presence of 1,500 degrees of myopia does not make the procedure inoperable.
