What are the three types of ischemic strokes?

Ischemic stroke is mainly divided into the following three types: first, lacunar cerebral infarction, the cause of lacunar cerebral infarction, mainly due to the sclerosis of small arteries in the brain, resulting in local brain tissue necrosis, infarct foci are mostly cystic foci 0.2-15 mm in diameter, and present multiple, in the clinical prognosis of patients is relatively good, symptoms are relatively mild, but multiple lacunar cerebral infarction is prone to recurrent seizures, resulting in patients with cognitive decline, Parkinson’s syndrome and other manifestations. Second, cerebral embolism, cerebral embolism refers to the sudden blockage of large blood vessels in the head due to the dislodgement of emboli in the heart or other parts of the body, resulting in the formation of neurological deficits, the onset of which is more rapid and the symptoms are more complete. Thirdly, cerebral thrombosis, the main cause of cerebral thrombosis is the atherosclerosis of large arteries in the skull or the patient’s neck, and the symptoms of neurological deficits appear after the occlusion of the blood vessels, and the area of cerebral thrombosis infarction is larger than that of lacunar cerebral infarction.
