How do children grow and develop healthily?

With the changes in living standards and lifestyles in China, the environment for children’s growth and development has changed significantly, and the risk factors affecting children’s healthy growth and development are increasing significantly. However, the level of awareness and attention to this problem by parents and society is obviously insufficient. According to the survey, 70% of parents do not understand the occurrence of growth and development diseases such as childhood dwarfism, and lack correct knowledge of growth and development, which delays the best treatment period of the disease and seriously affects the growth and development of children, causing lifelong regrets. The media has a special influence and responsibility in spreading the correct knowledge about children’s growth and development and promoting the attention of the whole society to children with dwarfism. For this reason, the Health Times has launched the “China Child Growth and Development Health Communication Initiative”, inviting more than 200 mainstream media across China to enter the child growth and development departments of famous hospitals nationwide and communicate face-to-face with famous pediatricians to disseminate knowledge about child growth and development and popularize the concept of standardized treatment of dwarfism. In this issue, the “China Child Growth and Development Health Communication Action” will visit the 307th Hospital of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army and hold a face-to-face communication with famous pediatric experts. This activity is mainly aimed at: 1) children with short stature (sitting in the front row of the class, shorter than other children of the same age, including familial short stature) 2) children with precocious puberty (abnormal puberty, early or early development) 3) children less than fetal age (less than 45 cm in length and less than 2.25 kg in weight at birth) 4) and other parents and children who want to learn more about child growth and development.
