How to treat hemolytic uremic syndrome

Hemolytic uremic syndrome is a clinical syndrome manifested by microvascular intravascular thrombosis with corresponding organ involvement and is treated as follows: 1. Hemolytic uremic syndrome should be carefully corrected for water-electrolyte disorders. Those with obvious uremic symptoms and anuria should be treated with early dialysis and hemofiltration. Platelet input is generally avoided unless there is active bleeding or surgical need. If hemoglobin is below 60 g/L, concentrated red blood cells can be imported to control hypertension. Antibiotics do not improve diarrhea-related hemolytic uremic syndrome, and nutritional support is recommended. 2. In addition to controlling hypertension, stopping therapy and early dialysis, plasma replacement therapy may be used. Prompt termination of pregnancy is recommended for women during pregnancy.
