The main signs and symptoms of syphilis

The symptoms and manifestations of syphilis are mainly chancre, syphilis rash and a variety of systemic manifestations, which vary at different stages of syphilis.
1. Acquired syphilis: usually occurring two to four weeks after high-risk sexual activity, the patient usually has no systemic symptoms, and the main manifestation is a small erythematous spot on the genitals, which necroticly forms a painless round or oval ulcer one to two centimetres in diameter, i.e., the chancre, which is present for one to two weeks, and a marked enlargement of the lymph nodes near the affected area.
2. Congenital syphilis: congenital syphilis is transmitted from the mother to the newborn, and newborns with congenital syphilis may show malnutrition, loose skin, a weak, hoarse voice and restlessness, as well as skin and mucous membrane damage, syphilitic rhinitis and bone syphilis.
Syphilis can not be self-cured, and has a strong contagious, so syphilis patients need to go to the hospital in time for examination and treatment, to avoid delaying the condition of the infection, resulting in serious impact.
