How long does it usually take for a long end tooth to hurt?

The eruption of the terminal tooth is usually painful for about one month, or longer, depending on the individual. The terminal tooth, or “wisdom tooth”, also known as the third molar, is the last tooth to erupt in humans, with most erupting around the age of 18-26, and some not growing for life. The pain is often caused by not having enough space for eruption and cannot erupt normally. The duration of pain varies greatly among individuals, generally around one month, some can last for half a year, and there are even recurrent episodes of pain, which can be triggered by factors such as mental stress, decreased immunity, and fatigue. During the process of wisdom tooth eruption, it is recommended to maintain good oral hygiene, take more rest, do not stay up late, keep a happy mood and get enough sleep. In case of recurrent pain, tilted encroachment on neighboring teeth, decay, or absence of opposing teeth after the eruption of wisdom teeth, it is recommended to extract them as soon as possible. Early prophylactic extraction of blocked teeth can prevent many complications.
