According to the current industry consensus in rehabilitation medicine: (1) the prime time for functional recovery of stroke patients is within 3 months after the onset of stroke, although it is still possible to recover after 3 months but the effect is much less than within 3 months only; (2) active limb movement is more effective than simply receiving passive treatment, for example, exercise therapy is more effective than simple acupuncture and tui na; (3) evidence-based medicine has not found a direct effect of acupuncture on stroke, but does not exclude the possibility of an effect, there is no large sample of RCT studies.
