Home care for liver cancer patients

Dietary principles for liver cancer patients: As liver cancer is a kind of wasting disease, attention should be paid to the supplementation of nutrients, especially protein. In early and middle stages, protein diet should be consumed as much as possible, but in the end stage, when there are precursors of liver coma or liver and kidney syndrome, the intake of protein and other nitrogenous food should be strictly restricted. In addition, in the middle and late stages of liver cancer, bile sweat secretion is reduced and fat diet is not tolerated, so high sugar and low fat diet should be used to maintain the energy metabolism of the body. Vitamin C, vitamin B complex and vitamin K should be supplemented, and sodium intake should be limited for combined cirrhosis and ascites. For patients with portal hypertension, choose a fine, soft, non-irritating liquid or semi-liquid diet as much as possible. Spiritual care for liver cancer patients: To relieve pessimistic and fearful emotions, to give spiritual comfort, to make patients treat the disease correctly, to build up confidence to overcome the disease, to keep body and mind happy, and to recuperate at ease. In case of advanced cancer with liver function loss, patients should rest in bed absolutely. Be gentle in nursing care, complete it at once under possible conditions, and avoid unnecessary turning and disturbance. Closely observe the patient with liver cancer: closely observe the changes of body temperature, respiration, pulse and blood pressure, and pay attention to the color, nature and amount of vomit and stool, and whether there is any bleeding tendency. If patients are found to have drowsiness, indifferent expression, restlessness, hallucinations and other symptoms, they should be highly suspected of hepatic coma and reported to physicians in time. Blocking the contamination of harmful substances such as aflatoxin: Studies from areas with high incidence of liver cancer report that local aflatoxin contamination of food and diet is serious. Aflatoxin table is a substance extremely harmful to the human liver, which can cause acute, subacute and chronic hepatitis lesions, and if there is further hepatitis virus infection, the probability of liver cancer increases. In addition, all substances toxic to liver cancer should be avoided, such as nitrites, carbon tetrachloride, styrene, alcohol, etc.
